Conqubine Design Studio & Showroom is an Award Winning Project located within Parnell's industrial warehouse district.

The design concept centers around the unlikely marriage of luxury paired with industrial, setting the tone for the design studio's high-end aesthetic while paying homage to the history of the building and surrounding location; harnessing a sense of place.

The design maximizes the volume of the space, with flexibility being a key element in a space which simultaneously functions as a Design Studio, Fine Art Gallery, and Interior Accessories Boutique.

Approaching the design concept holistically from the onset, careful consideration was given to accommodating all the senses for an immersive user experience. Biophilic design principles are also used with good measure to lend balance and harmony to the space.

Luxury Hotel Interior architecture and design for sheraton branded Hotel Da Mei Sha Shenzhen China.

368 Key | 5 Star Hotel | Scope of Works: Public Areas Package

Sheraton Da Mei Sha is a multi-award winning building designed by internationally acclaimed Architecture practice Farrells, and marking the entrance into the Hotel industry by Chinese property development giant Kingkey Group. The 368 key, 5-star luxury urban resort hotel additionally features 2 expansive private villas each with a GFA of 4,250sqm. Located on the Southern coast of Shenzhen, the hotel is situated on a 2.5km stretch of pristine beachfront coastline looking across the water towards Hong Kong, and surrounded by mountains to the rear . The project boasts an impressive list of consultants comprised of multi-award-winning International practices, namely, Hirsch Bedner Associates /Project interior Designer; AB Concept/Restaurant Design; Arups/ Lobby Structural Engineer, to name a few.

As one half of the HBA design team, Leigh was responsible for all of the Public Areas from concept through to completion on this fast-track prestigious project. Specific areas under Leigh's scope included: Lobby, Lobby Lounge, Lounge Bar, Public Area Lift Lobbies, Lift Car Interiors, Flow Spaces, Executive Lounge, Spa, Health Club, Indoor Swimming Pool as well as the Conference Wing Building housing multiple Ballrooms, Function Rooms, Meeting Rooms, and a Business Centre.

436 Key | 5 Star Hotel | Scope of Works: Public Areas Package

An ultra clean, contemporary design concept for this New Brand Offering by the Oberoi Hotel Group. The Trident Bandra Kurla ushered in the first of the Trident Properties, setting the standard for the Brand. The 436 key, 5-star, award-winning hotel is primarily aimed at the business traveller market sector. Situated 7km from Mumbai's International Airport, the hotel is located within one of India's most prominent Business & Commerce Hubs, the Bandra Kurla Development Complex.

The clean contemporary design makes use of subtle cultural references throughout the hotel to infuses an identity and instill a sense of place. The 'Floating Lobby' concept for example, draws inspiration from a number of Palaces and important landmarks throughout India. A recurrent design theme on this project, water features are used throughout the hotel in a variety of forms.

Defining the Lobby with an unmistakable sense of arrival, an expansive, full height laser-cut metal screen forms an impressive backdrop to the space. This important feature is a key design element which enhances the guest experience on multiple levels; taking them on a journey and offering a glimpse into the local culture. Viewed from the lobby and surrounding areas, at first glance it is both visually stimulating and engaging. When experienced from behind however, this powerful feature takes on an immersive sensory quality, offering a dynamic cultural experience as the guest passes from behind on the upper levels, forming a lasting memorable impression.

Inspired by an element commonly found in traditional Indian architecture known as a Jali Screen, this grand lobby feature sets the tone for the brand's aesthetic; clean functional contemporary, infused with cultural references.

The Public Areas of this hotel occupy 3 Floors and comprise: Lobby, Reception areas, Lift Lobbies & Lift Car Interiors, Flow Spaces, Lounge Bar with 2-storey Feature Wine Cellar, 3 - Meal Restaurant, Italian Restaurant with Bar, Indian Restaurant & Private Dining, Ballroom and Pre-Function spaces, and the Business Center, Meeting rooms, and conferencing facilities which occupy the entire 3rd Floor.

An elegant contemporary design for this private and secluded multi-unit townhouse development in Hong Kong’s exclusive Peak District.

Commissioned by Property Developer Chinese Estates, the model-home interior architecture and design for this 3-level Townhouse features a Water-Gilded, custom designed Circular Glass walk-in-wardrobe to the Master Bedroom. All rooms including the Master bedroom, Director’s office, and an additional 4 Bedrooms, feature Floor-to-ceiling Limestone Clad Ensuite Bathrooms with backlit Onyx Lighting panels, and include state of the art sanitaryware fixtures from both Boffi and Agape.

The interior planning and layout was designed to give an expansive and open Living/Dining Room flow; running the length of the property and opening fully into the back garden, forming a centralized entertaining zone within the property. By maximizing on the benefits of natural sunlight and shade at differing times of the day, it allows for a bright, airy, flexible and functional entertaining hub.

A keen eye on project time-frame and budget considerations meant the FF&E specification package comprised a thoughtful mix of exclusive designer brand furniture & lighting, together with a number of pieces specifically custom designed and manufactured exclusively for this project. These bespoke elements not only enabled us to further layer the design, providing a unique point of difference, but also allowed for the smooth running of the project management and scheduling.

Additional areas within the project scope include a large light filled Entrance Foyer, Kitchen - fully fitted with Poggenpohl cabinetry and Gaggenau appliances, Powder Room, and Maids Quarters.

Scope of Works | A collaboration with the design architect on this 3-bedroom new build private residence in Gulf Harbour, Auckland. The scope here was limited to the selection of interior materials and finishes throughout the house, and the design, selection and procurement of furniture, wardrobes, and interior lighting fixtures, as well as the sanitaryware package.

Fusion, Xintiandi, Shanghai - Old Cinema Conversion

Conversion of an old, abandoned Cinema complex into a nightlife destination comprising a Thai Restaurant, Wine Bar, and a Night Club on the top floor. Located in the immediate surrounds of Shanghai's trendy Xintiandi area, this was an extremely fast track project with Design and Demolition running concurrently. The entire project, including manufacture of all Furniture, and some Fabrics, was completed within a 3 month period, from initial site survey to opening of the facilities.
